——2020 Business Matchmaking Conference was Held in Nanjing

As one of the important activities of 2020 China (Nanjing) Golden Autumn Economic and Trade Fair, 2020 Business Matchmaking Conference—Nanjing, A Belt and Road Converging City was held in Nanjing on the afternoon of September 16. Around 80 guests were invited to this year’s business matchmaking conference to seek opportunities for cooperation, including vice consul-generals of Japanese and Singaporean Consulates General in Shanghai, business representatives from Spanish, Thai, and British consulates General in Shanghai, heads of Italian and Cezch economic and trade institutions, heads of Australian and Canadian Chambers of Commerce in Nanjing, and entrepreneurs from 50 private-owned enterprises in Nanjing such as Yindu Ogilvy and Jusha Display and etc. Ms. Hua Jing, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee and Director of United Front Work Department of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee attended the conference and delivered a speech.

It is reported that in recent years, under the guidance of the development strategy of “Building Nanjing into a city of innovators and beautiful ancient capital”, Nanjing is gaining accelerated momentum in its economic and social development. In the first half of 2020, despite the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, Nanjing’s GDP reached 661.2 billion yuan, up by 2.2% on a year-on-year basis, ranking among the top 10 in China for the first time, with its growth rate ranking the first in Jiangsu province. The city’s total volume of import and export reached 229.9 billion yuan, up by 6.9%.
