During 2022 Chinese Spring Festival, Nanjing Foreign Affairs Office expanded the publicity of Nanjing and built up an overseas brand of “Fascinating Nanjing” through multiple channels. First, promotion videos related to Nanjing’s sceneries, tourist attractions, investment environment and delicious cuisines were released on the official websites or YouTube、Facebook、Twitter、Zoom and other social media accounts of our partner cities, presenting a fascinating city image to overseas friends. Second, we made teaching videos of Nanjing’s intangible cultural heritages in several foreign languages and shared them with Nanjing’s partner cities, China’s cultural centers abroad, Confucius Institutes, etc. Through such videos, more international friends got to know about Nanjing’s historical foundation and charming intangible culture. Third, performance videos of folk music, acrobatics, songs and dances were selected to be presented to overseas audience through local Spring Festival Celebrations by Chinese embassies or consulates, Confucius Institutes or local city councils in Hungary, Italy, the UK, Ireland and other countries. These videos met with considerable acclaim from foreign friends and Chinese compatriots.
