On October 28th, Han Liming, Secretary of CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee, met with Steffen Metzger and Stefan Staubach, the co-CEOs of Germany-funded Heraeus Precious Metals, together with their team in Nanjing.
Han Liming congratulated Heraeus on its 50th anniversary of development in China. She stated that Nanjing has been vigorously promoting the transformation and upgrading of the petrochemical and new material industries, improving the resource recycling system, and actively and steadily advancing carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. It is hoped that Heraeus would further increase R&D investment in Nanjing, actively expand its presence and deepen cooperation in the fields of hydrogen energy and healthcare, better play the role of an industry-leading company, drive the upgrading of the upstream and downstream industries, and contribute to the technological innovation of Nanjing’s industries. Nanjing will continue to provide consistent follow-up services.
Steffen Metzger and Stefan Staubach expressed their appreciation to Nanjing for the care and support that have boosted the company's development, stating that Heraeus will actively integrate into Nanjing's green and low-carbon development and further explore more space for cooperation.
Heraeus Precious Metals is a globally renowned company in the precious metals business. Its Nanjing plant has been rapidly developing since it started operation in 2018, and the company is planning to increase investments to upgrade the Nanjing plant in the near future.
