Baguio City, north of Manila and in the western part of Luzon Island, is a mountainous city among mountains. Baguio, with its cool climate and beautiful scenery, is known as the country's Summer Capital. It is a famous tourist resort with an area of 49 square kilometers and a population of more than 300,000. Baguio is known as the education center of the northern Philippines.
