Located along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, Haifa is an important port city in Israel. It covers an area of 854 square kilometers and has a population of about 280,000(according to data from 2015). It is Israel’s third largest city after Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. It is also the administrative, industrial, international trade, and commercial center in northern Israel. Haifa Port is Israel’s busiest passenger port and one of the largest cargo ports.
