Seferihisar is located in Izmir Province which is the third largest province , the second largest port as well as an important trade, tourism and investment center in Turkey. The city covers an area of 386 square kilometers and has a population of around 40,000. It is rich in mountain and water resources and has planted many citrus and olive trees. With numerous historical sites, the city boasts its tourism industry. Also, it is one of the Cittaslow members.
